Miriam Scavelli

Miriam Tessa Rose Scavelli (17) is thrilled to be in her 22nd show with Lolek's Storytellers! She first performed with them in their second production of The Wizard of Oz as a member of the Lollipop Guild when she was 9 and has been a part of almost every Lolek's show since. Some of her previous roles were a dancing Newsie in Lolek’s first production of Newsies, where she found her love for dance and had her very first tap solo. Since then Miriam has been taking dance class with Erika and has improved her dance skills to now tap on the tables and dance with the “big leagues” in this production of Newsies. Some of her other previous roles with Lolek’s were Cardamon the Wizard (Once Upon a Mattress), Tootles, a Lost Boy (Peter Pan), the Wicked Witch in Dani's original show (Vladimir's Diner), and Amy Rose in Dani's original show (Kansas). She was also thrilled to help out with choreography for Lolek’s production of Wonderland Jr. When not onstage, you might find Miriam at church hanging out with her friends at youth group, spending time outside enjoying God's beautiful creation and the peace that comes with it, making art out of flowers, spending time with her sisters, doing literally anything and everything music-related, and dancing, which she absolutely loves to do, especially tap! She would like to thank God for her talents to share with others, Dani for creating a community where she can have fun and truly be herself, and the cast and crew for all of their hard work, time, and effort they put into this show to make it as amazing as it is! She hopes that you enjoy the show just as much as she enjoys putting it on for you!
